The most developed outcome of this project was the Phyllida Bench, a four person collapsible model. This bench is a return to creating volume in structure, something generous to the eye and for those who would like to sit upon it. For the modern context concerns she high performance; light and can be disassembled, packed to only slightly larger than her seat board. The thin ply sheets roll up and slot into a groove in the base and the foot. A bungee holds the assembly together, and also allow for the whole apparatus to be strapped up for transportation. It is very strong and takes the weight of as many people that can stand on its horizontal surface area.
